The film opened this past Friday in New York and L.A.  Looks pretty good.

“California Stars” by Wilco

Wilco performing “California Stars” from their album with Billy Bragg, Mermaid Avenue.  The Chum Master just watched King of California and the song is featured as the final credits begin to roll.  Good tune, good flick, too.

“Say it to Me Now” by Glen Hansard-Bonus update: “Falling Slowly” by Hansard and Marketa Irglova

“Say it to Me Now” is featured in one of the opening sequences of one of the Chum Master’s favorite movies, Once.  I generally hate musicals, but Once was so good I didn’t really notice it was a musical.  The WHOLE FREAKING SOUNDTRACK IS GREAT!  Wow….sorry, got a little carried away.

“The Giant Spider Invasion”

From 1975, comes the pinnacle of horror, The Giant Spider Invasion.  Before watching, consider these other movies released the same year:  Jaws, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, and Dod Day Afternoon.  I’d say this horror classic stacks up nicely.
