Former NASA astronaut claims aliens exist and that the U.S. govt has been hiding this info. for decades

July 25, 2008

(If aliens are accepted into society, will they still dress in drag? If so, let’s try to be just as welcoming then, too)

Former NASA astronaut and moon-walker Dr. Edgar Mitchell — a veteran of the Apollo 14 mission — claims aliens exist.

He says extraterrestrials have visited Earth on several occasions — but the alien contact has been repeatedly covered up by governments for six decades.

Mitchell, 77, said during a radio interview in Birmingham, England, that sources at NASA who had had contact with aliens described the beings as “little people who look strange to us.”

He said supposedly real-life ET’s were similar to the traditional image of a “small gray” — short, slight frame, large eyes and large head.

Mitchell also claimed human technology is “not nearly as sophisticated” as the aliens’ and “had they been hostile,” he warned “we would be been gone by now.”

Some aliens we kind of wish would do a better job at hiding.

Mars Phoenix lander collects soil samples, transmits images

June 14, 2008

About three weeks after it landed on Mars, the Phoenix lander has collected particles that offer a snapshot of millions of years of life on the Red Planet, the team behind the probe said Friday.NASA’s 420-million-dollar lander has also possibly located ice and is half way to offering scientists on Earth a 360-degree view from its landing site in the Martian polar region, with rocks and hills fading into the dusty distance.

“We’re getting about twice the data volume we were told to expect,” said Peter Smith, Phoenix principal investigator at the University of Arizona.

The team is hoping to find evidence of the existence of water and life-supporting organic minerals in the polar region, on the basis that the similar areas on Earth preserve traces of climate change and signs of life.

This is exciting, but are we really so arrogant that we forgot what happened the last time NASA received images from Mars? We never learn….

Space station toilet not working-Why yes, this job will be time and a half

May 29, 2008

The international space station has one toilet. That one toilet isn’t functioning properly now. Fortunately for the astronauts aboard the station, the solid waste part of the toilet is still working. NASA is going to try and send the replacement part to fix the toilet on an upcoming shuttle launch…if they can fit it on the shuttle.

Check out a NASA official explaining how the space toilet works. I wouldn’t recommend this immediately before eating.
