Christmas sweaters: why won’t they just DIE?!?!?

I’m baffled by the Christmas sweater tradition.  They’re hideous, yet popular.  Is it a generational thing?  Ethnicity?  Do women lose their sense of fashion once they hit menopause?  One of my new favorite blogs, Catastrophe, published a collection of these handmade-horrors.  Check out the full collection here.

New Miss London, a size 12 model, was repeatedly turned away from modeling agencies for being “too big.”

“I have tried to get into modelling,” she said. “But I have been turned away as I’m apparently too big to be a regular model. I’ve been told I’m too fat and I need to lose weight. One agent told me I would have to work hard to achieve the gaunt look he was after.
