**YourDailyChum.com Exclusive**Pat Robertson claims George Bush blew up Iowa levees

June 22, 2008

Evangelical minister Pat Robertson has claimed sources have told him there was an explosion at the levee in Des Moines immediately before the levee was breached and flooded the city.

Robertson, founder of the Christian network, The 700 Club, said, “I heard from a very reliable source who saw a 15 foot deep crater under the levee breach. It may have been blown up to destroy the Irish part of town and keep the French part dry.”

Tensions were raised further during a live television broadcast Friday night to raise money for the rebuilding process in Iowa. Film star Will Smith was appearing in a segment with outspoken Irish musician Bono, lead singer of the band U2. Bono stopped reading from the teleprompter and issued a rambling statement about his how he is donating his own money to relief efforts, particularly to provide colored glasses to everyone in the city. While Will Smith remained silent and looked a bit confused, Bono concluded by saying, “George Bush doesn’t care about Irish people.”

NBA facing a steroids-like controversy follows baseball’s playbook: Deny, Deny, Deny

June 11, 2008

The idea that the NBA leadership is complicit in, and perhaps encourages, fixing games continues to gain steam. Ck. out the quote from a good story on ESPN regarding the very controversial Game 6 of the 2002 Western Conference Championship, often referred to as the worst officiated game in NBA history.

“Referees A, F and G were officiating a playoff series between Teams 5 and 6 in May of 2002. It was the sixth game of a seven-game series, and a Team 5 victory that night would have ended the series. However, Tim learned from Referee A that Referees A and F wanted to extend the series to seven games. Tim knew referees A and F to be “company men,” always acting in the interest of the NBA, and that night, it was in the NBA’s interest to add another game to the series. Referees A and F heavily favored Team 6. Personal fouls [resulting in obviously injured players] were ignored even when they occurred in full view of the referees. Conversely, the referees called made-up fouls on Team 5 in order to give additional free throw opportunities for Team 6. Their foul-calling also led to the ejection of two Team 5 players. The referees’ favoring of Team 6 led to that team’s victory that night, and Team 6 came back from behind to win that series.”

An informative, albeit melodramatic, video regarding the game fixing scandal surrounding Tim Donaghy, and NBA Commissioner David Stern’s repeated denials.

Donaghy was also involved in a playoff series in 2007 where the officiating was again heavily criticized, the San Antonio Spurs versus the Phoenix Suns.

Spike Lee vs. Clint Eastwood, Round 3

June 9, 2008

So Spike Lee, director and professional whiner, responded to Eastwood’s interview in which Eastwood said Lee should “shut his face.”

Naturally, Lee plays the race card, a common tactic of a schmuck, a talented schmuck, but a schmuck nonetheless.

In responding to Eastwood’s Guardian interview, he said: “First of all, the man is not my father and we’re not on a plantation either. He’s a great director. He makes his films, I make my films … And a comment like ‘A guy like that should shut his face’ – come on Clint, come on. He sounds like an angry old man right there.”

Spike’s answer almost follows a politician’s textbook….well, a race-baiting politician. Throw out a line like, “we’re not on a plantation” to subtly further inject the notion that Eastwood is a racist, but then compliment him at the same time for being a “great director,” and close out the quote by saying Eastwood sounds like “an angry old man right there.”

He probably is angry, and rightly so. Lee has repeatedly insulted him, and his craft, and that would anger most people. Plus, Eastwood’s a veteran of Hollywood with a long and successful career, so to be insulted by a little punk like Lee, who is the real angry one here, would be a bit annoying. Read the rest of the whining by Lee.

Don’t forget now, Lee is a big fan of Nation of Islam leader, and outspoken racist and Jew-hater, Lewis Farrakhan. For just a smattering of Lee’s racism and anti-antisemitism, click here.

Oh, also, here’s Spike Lee asserting that the levees in New Orleans were actually blown up, a charge originally made famous by Lewis Farrakhan. Life as a conspiracy nut is certainly interesting…..
