It goes without saying that Miles Davis was extremely talented and influential, but I had to throw up this clip of his song “In a Silent Way” from the 1969 album of the same name. Very minimalist, and a precursor to jazz fusion and, dare I say, ambient music in general? You can really hear Brian Eno in this piece. Great album…one of many from Davis.
